Any insights you might have heard from your contacts “inside” the tire industry ? You have mentioned no more xtra reinforcing to handle the neg camber and heavier loads a-la the original OEMs, anything on the drawing boards you are hearing of as suitable replacements or just stick w/your Pilot (scary wet handling ?) recommendation ?

I seem to recall you saying all the Yokos have been sitting in warehouses for years hardening up all that nice supple tread -Quote »Originally posted by Q45tech The Q suspension was designed to work with one tire only the discontinued Michelin Pilot XGTV which had special inner and outer edge reinforcements [and a stress releaving edge cut] to handle the stress. The tires wore out in 15,000 miles if rotated every 3,750 miles.

The only current tires I've seen that look good [wear flat across the tread] at 15-20k are the Pilot H4/V4 and the Fstone SZ50.[/quote]

This extra 120 pounds of capacity makes me think the tire is safer and might actually meet the H rating USED in a hot summer.

For Spring I have 215/65/15 AVS Intermediates [last set I could cry!] on the front and 235 Pilot H4 on the rear........for my vacation I use 235 H4 on the front also since the smooth ride is important when you do 600 miles in a day.
Just curious - w/all your WOT runs, does the H speed rating on the Michelin’s give you pause or do you assume they are over engineered and there won’t be any idiots on the road ahead ?
