At about $100 a pop for a shop flush, I have considered getting my own ATF flush machine. This one on eBay is a pretty decent deal, but I wanted to get some opinions first. As I see it:

Pros:

1) It's here, so I'll use it more often than having to take the car somewhere.

2) I can control how it's used - so I know it's done right.

3) I can save some $$$, since it will pay for itself in 4 or 5 flushes.

Cons:

1) Big, bulky machine taking up space in my garage

2) Big, bulky machine taking up space in my garage

3) I would have to maintain the machine.

_____

So for those of you who have worked in or hang around shops with these machines... how much maintenence is involved to keep them running properly? I seem to recall some discussion of having to replace the internal components from time to time....

Any input would be appreciated...

Thanks!

Heath

Appears to use air pressure to force exchange vs self regulating BG type?

I'd rather just buy a spare trans or a L10 rebuild for the price of that machine.

So it does... I knew there was a reason I wanted to get some input before dropping some $$$ on this thing!

Is $450 all that a Level10 rebuild costs?

Harbor Freight sells a similar one, albeit with twin 8 gallon tanks.
