I accidentally (well it wouldn't be on purpose) reversed my battery terminals when putting in a newfangled battery with the terminals in different locations.

So far, a blown 'fusible link', one of the big ones in the hood fuse box, plus burned out park-release switch. Car seems to run ok.

But, passenger seat power adjusts don't work, clock doesn't work and the hot air from the catalytic converter doesn't seem to smell the same.

I have not yet done a one-by-one fuse check, but did check the individual ones relevant to the above.

What to do next? What else to expect?

Thanks to all...

RR

I think checking each fuse is your next step. My guess is that you could reverse the terminals on several Qs and get different results each time depending on how long it takes to toast different components, what switches are on, time connected etc. It's sort of like dealing with a house full of electronics after a lightning strike - not very predictable.

I think I would make sure the fuses are all good first, then check for failures and diagnose them per the FSM. For instance, if your seats, clock, etc. are still not working - it would be worthwhile to see what circuit is common.

Much worse to misinstall a battery than to cross jump a car. Many of the expensive electronic modules have diodes that sense reversals and blow the fuses but some don't or get damaged anyway.

Step by step testing each fuse, then junkyard for the damaged modules.

Many times the protecting diode also explodes in modules so NO FUTURE PROTECTION from cross jumping!
