HI Peeps

Remember I was trying to get Q45racing.com re-registered with a diff registrar, and was unable to transfer the domain name but since that time it has been registered to a Hong Kong company who I think is cybersquatting to get me to pay them to get the name back....since I dont have the time or money to take them to court.... I just registered a new name... teamQracing.com so any links to q45racing.com please delete them.... I'm still redigning a new flash site. hope to have it up soon.... but still http://q45racing.bizland.com the old q45racing.com is still active until I pull the plug on it...

It just makes me a little upset to know that someone or company would take a domain name of someone who worked hard to build up the name just to get it's traffic.... I would like to know their real intention of buying that name.... who else would get it unless it was another Q45 owner, Hell I would of been willing to transfer its sale to another q45 owner.

I have written both registrars involved.. regarding the problems I had trying to transfer this domain name...waiting for a response...

But still Q45 Performance & Racing my official business name still remains.... Long Live our Q's

As this has happened to me before it's hard to say there isn't much you can do about it if they don't release it willingly. However, you are in an extremely strong position legally if they ever decide to start a website/business using that name. Remember, you own Q45racing.com trademarks, etc.

Best of luck,

Corey

Did you let the registration lapse?? If not there is a dispute process availible through ICAN that you can use to get the registration back. If you let it lapse and retrun to the open market, you are probablyt out of luck. Have you registered your business name under the federal trademark laws with the US PTO? If you operate a business on the Net and have developed a trade name, you should. While US trademark laws protect you here from a domestic squatter, it is much more difficult to stop a foriegn one. Big bucks. Bottom line, renew registrations before they lapse!
