Q45a Will Not Self Diagnosis

Hello,I have recently purchased a 1994 Q45a which is in excellent shape except the ACTSUS light is staying on at all times. I have tried the self testing procedure of;

1. With the car ‘off, turn the ignition key to ’run’ do not crank the engine.2. Within 10 seconds of turning the key to ‘on’, move the ‘N/H’ switch from ‘N’ to ‘H’ and back again at least 10 times, stopping in ‘N’3. Within a few seconds, the Actsus warning light should start to flash a series of pulses.

Each time I try the above method nothing happens and the light just stays solid whenever the key is in the "run" position as mentioned above. So far I have found tons of helpful info about these cars in general however I did not find much info on a problem such as this. Does anyone have any ideas of where to start troubleshooting a problem like this. Thanks for you time and advice.

its possible your switch doesnt work.. Does the car raise up as it should? Its also possible its low on fluid or its not warmed up...

The only reasons that an active will not go into 'self diagnostic' mode is either defective N/H switch or faulty wiring to the computer or bad computer. Check all fuses (remove, swap for known good.)R&R active computer connector. Look and notice if green 'H' light comes on in warning light display when switch is moved to 'H'.
