I've got a '92 Active Q with evidently terribly charged accumulators that I did myself.

BTW... many updates coming. My Silver Q is now fully Active! And, with permission from Keith (thanks Keith) I will be doing a write up of Accumulator replacement with pictures... yipee!
Hell yeah!!

It's a bit hard (read: EXPENSIVE) to pull all my accumulators and ship them to texasoil and back again. Not to mention the amount of time I would be without a car on the road!

Some pics would be sweet!

Ozzie,

I imagine the shipping would be expensive, but the part cost isn't more, there is just the exchange problem. (I may be forgetting any import tax you might have).

You would not have to have your car off the road very long. Keith sometimes has a full set ready to go. You would just have to pay the core charge and then send you originals back to him.

New to NICO. Love the site!!!! This is my 1994 Q45a which I am in the process of restoring. Working on the injectors now. I love this car. I bought it for 4grand in Denver while I was in Grad school and drove it home to Atlanta where I drive it to work every morning to Grady Hospital where I work as a chaplain. Yeah I know, preachers shouldn't drive flashy cars but since I only paid 4grand, I think God will forgive me. http://www.q45.org/gallery/v/IMGA0731.JPG.html http://www.q45.org/gallery/v/IMGA0732.J ... 6.JPG.html

That silver G50 of yours in one of the best looking Q I've laid eyes on. Always loved silver color the best and with the tint and wheels, it's real nice. Did you black out the tailights yet? If not... you need to!

Hello,95Qa, 87,000. Active works well, but accumulators are flat. I have been driving it very little the past year. And just drive it occasionaly. Haven't been able to spring for the accumulators yet. Car is well maintained. All fluids & filters have been repalced. BG flush on the tranny and fuel system. Recently did a thorough Brake job with OEM parts. I ordered new front rotors from Joe and wouldn't you know it, I needed new rear ones. I had the rears turned and used brake align shims to true them. I have a excellent set of used front rotors I would love to trade for rears. No gouges, run true with in .0015 (on my car), thickness is consistant with in .001 measured at 6 points. I have repalced the alternator (what fun), water pump, fan, all belts, fuel pump (inspected the control unit), and radiator hoses. All parts used are OEM. Runs and idles very well, no codes, no coughs. New alternator and battery cured all kinds of strange problems when I bought the car.

You're from Houston....lucky you....so close to Keith (member: texasoil) who is the ultimate person to resolve flat accumulators. He did mine and what a difference it made!

Does anyone have a good used power steering pump for active suspension?

A piston seized. I found that’s what was causing the noise.

I'm on my 2nd Q. I had a tan 1994, which I sold after I bought a 2004 M45. I happen to find a black 1995 Q45 in Van Nuys for $2000 on CL, bought it. Still runs strong, but it has a cracked windshield. Anyone know where I could source a windshield, by any chance?
