Hey guys with working Q45A suspensions:
First, I have read every post on here I can possibly find about active suspensions, I have gone to every link, read everything I could find from Texasoil, Lino, elwesso or anyone else that has dealt with the excitement that is the active suspension system.....on with my story....
I have this awesome 1995 Q with active suspension. I am strongly debating a couple of different options with this car and I have a few questions that I hope can be answered by guys who have experience removing the active system and servicing it.
1. Would there be any use/value to pulling the system and replacing it with a stock suspension until I can work the bugs out of the active suspension. I have a Z32 OE suspension at my disposal and it is not out of my ability to fabricate an parts I might need to adapt it without screwing up stock mounting points, etc.
2. I have read almost non stop for the last couple weeks , numerous troubleshooting guides, manuals, and so on about figuring out issues with the active suspension. I dont have a consult program that will self test the system. Is there any way that the ecu will do this itself without use of the consult?
3. I bled the front towers today (or attempted to). The front drivers side maintains a small pocket of air that I cant seem to remove while the passengers side.....I cant even pull any fluid into the lines. Heres the thing though - there are no leaks and the reservoir is full of fresh nissan active suspension fluid, Im thinking that is a bad ferrule crimp in a hydraulic line somewhere and its leaking air. Is that a common problem??
I feel like there might be something I am missing I am certain the accumulators need to be replaced, but I would like to make sure the system is functioning first before I invest money in replacements - is that the wrong thought process???? I really feel like this thing is sincerely shot.
I appreciate your help in advance, b/c I am really really lost here.
