Sounds like you're one of very few to educate themselves before jumping into buying a FAS Q45a. Hands to you.
If you need parts aaacomp may be a chap to look to. I'm unsure if his conversions also entail removal of the switch, but he will have all other used parts that you may need in the restoration work! I believe he sells everything he removed for about $100. Not too bad. The problem being who knows what works and what doesn't. After all, the FAS setups he's removed haven't been removed because they're working perfectly!
If you decide to keep it active, I have an active suspension controller which I brought over from Japan. If Ryan doesn't still want it, it's up for sale :pface . I also have 4 recharged texasoil accumulators, that have never been used but have been sitting in dry storage for about 8 months. They may need to be recharged (which can be done at half the cost of having some other cores recharged).
