Hello guys, my 00 Q45 has been raising to hot...not overheating, but getting hot. The needle will fluctuate quite a bit with accelerating and deaccelerating...I presume there is air in the system since I have not bleed it personally for two years.

I changed the thermostat since it is cheap and I don't know if it has been done in the last few years, but that did not solve my problem. Now I am sure there is even more air in the system.

I realized I have no idea how to bleed the coolant on this car. I have been searching and I have been looking into the FSM, and still can't find how to do it. It must be right under my nose.

I have used the funnel style cap bleeder on other cars in the past....but it was my friend's bleeder. I need to buy my own if anyone knows where to buy! That should allow me to bleed it.

If someone can help it would be appreciated!

Any tool truck or place that sells automotive tools should have the spill free funel. Pages MA-11 and MA-12 cover the coolant system flushing process.

Are you sure your water pump is well? Belts and pulleys? Thermostat? Use distilled water only for dilutant for coolant. Air should self purge.
