I think getting power over the seats for heat wouldn't be a big deal. Ideally I would be able to get the factory switches...but, even without, I think it would be relatively easy to wire in a switch somewhere.Q451990 wrote:My guess is that you'd just need to get 12V to the appropriate connector... I'm not sure if the factory switches have some sort of timer in the system, but getting the switches from the donor car would be helpful. Remember that some of the later models also had electric headrests - so if you get one of those seats you may need to add wiring and a different set of door switches too.

Rossman, i have a plan to redo your seats... I think we could really make it look stellar..... also, we could probably rig up heated seats...
The seat heaters in the 94s are sewn into the seat pad... so you couldnt use OEM ones, youd wanna use aftermarket.
Yep. 90-92 were the same, 93-96 were the same.JT_MONEY_2004 wrote:Good question.
Which interior colors from 90-93 showed up in 94+? Some colors would require a full swap out of seats to match right? ex. Tan's were different Camel v/s beige
I guess I wasn't planning to take on the project of heated seats for its own sake. If I can find a way to restore my current drivers seat, I certainly wouldn't need to add an aftermarket heater. I figured that it was likely that the seats I do add would come from a 94-97 Q, and that heated seats would be likely.elwesso wrote:90-93 never had heated seats...

The way to really gauge the comfort of seats is to take a long drive in em. I've driven from GA to NY and back in my Q, minivans, my old Camry which is now sold etc. The Toyota's plain old cloth seats won hands down believe it or not. After about 10 hrs or so in the Q, I found myself constantly shifting postions in the seat.elwesso wrote:Tom to be honest, i dont feel that way, I used to... I drove Ross's Q enough to realize that theyre really not much more comfortable than my 94s...
the key in the 94 is to find the right position. its harder than in the 9093
