Hey people, here's my situation. I have a 1990 Q and I purchased the window and seat controls from a 1994-96 Q. I plugged them in and nothing happened. Then I tried a rewire them and the same thing, nothing. The thing is that the 90+ controls have 8 wires(2 blacks) and the 94+ have 7(1black). Is there a way that I can get these to work cause my memory trips and these are so nice with the wood. Please help...

You are pretty much limited to 90-93 switches for your 1990. Too many changes made for 1994.

Dsagers is right.

Technical answer:

Look at the EL section of the 1990-1993 Q45 service manual then compare to 1994-1996 Q45 service manual.

Nothing is impossible but I would not do it and I like to make my car the best of the best. You have to take into consideration that the 1994-1996 Q45's have power headrests which I wanted to bring to the 1990-1993 Q45's but gave up.

But compare the wiring diagrams and see if you can somehow make it work. If you do then you have to get rid of the headrest control button because it will be awful to have something useless there. Just take the button out and put a little patch over it.
