Hey guys, this q45 is about to drive me nuts. This project started as a timing chain guide problem, that turned into an engine swap.I put a 1996 engine in a 1992 q45,without realising the wiring differences.I will try to make a long story short,I have all of the wiring converted to work, the engine spins over fine,I have fuel pressure, the injectors are firing and I am getting strong spark. However it will not start. Now the only piece of wiring that is not adapted is the subcas wiring.I researched the subcas and saw that the general opinion was that after the car was running it really was not used, however I am starting to wonder if it could keep me from starting.I checked with a timing light while cranking and the spark seemed to be very errattic ..The old cas with two plugs will physically not fit on the newer head.Has anyone performed this swap or know what I should do with the subcas plug?I love this car but it has not ran in over a year any help is greatly appreciated.
