I have a 1994 q45. I drive mainly on the street so while I want to improve handling I also care about the ride. I am think of getting 17 rims off a 350Z. The tires are 235/50 17 (rears) and 225/50 17 (fronts) My question is will this wheel/tire combo work for me? Can it bear extra weight of q45? Thanks

Yes the OEM 350Z wheels can bear the weight of the Q, and yes the OEM 350Z tires are above the mandated load index and speed rating on the Q.

The rims and tires are slightly different sizes. 17X 7.5 with Bridgestone Potenza 225.50.17 Front17 X 8 with Bridgestone Potenza 235.50.17 RearDoes that mean I can't rotate them?

Bstone RE92 N225/50VR17 93V SL Nissan 160 A A1433lbs. @ 44psi This tire does not meet the oem minimum safe load rating for the 90-96 Q45.................1521 vs 1433 significantly over loaded on front!

With those wheel sizes, you can use 245/45-17 tires - many of which will be the correct load index. Do a search for an old post of mine that has a list of possible tires that would work out well in that size.

Also, I hope that the wheel offset is 33mm minimum to 38mm maximum (certainly not more than 40mm), else the fitment to a Q45 might be problematic.Quote » Does that mean I can't rotate them? [/quote] If you use different size tires (as you mention above), then you should not rotate. If you put 245/45-17's on all four wheels, it may not be a problem per se, but might be better not to rotate them.

Ah, I found the thread I was thinking of when I originally posted. Who would have guessed, that thread concerns a 98Q(load index 94), not an early Q(load index 95). :(

the thread I was recalling is located here, for some good reading:http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....ber=1
