Today was a good day. I changed the rear-end of my Q back to stock. The 4.11 saw one too many smokeshows and called it quits. I've been doing burnouts on the poor thing ever since I had it dropped in almost two years ago. 100shot of nitrous doesn't help either.

So my buddy Ethan disses my car calling it an a japanese police force reject. He's grown some cajones after PAYING a shop to drop in his new SR.

For a friendly wager I told him I could SMOKE his car from 50-100+ and from that point it was on.

We head on out to I495 heading to salisbury beach, i thought heck might as well smoke this fool and cap off the day with some fun in the sun. We found an open stretch nearing the NH border and honked thrice and boom we were off. His car jumped about a car and a half ahead but then it was all VH45DE. I reeled his little hairdryer assisted motor in past 90 by the time we called it quits at 150ish the Q was almost three car lengths ahead.

After he lost, he tries to justify it all by making lame excuses: "oh, this baby isn't tuned right" "I'm still playing with the boost settings" "wait til I get a bigger huffer." Pllllllleez. Spanked the punk in a nearly-bone stock Q AND I didn't even squeeze the bottle.

He has a long way to go if he thinks he can take on the big maroon saloon on the freeway. To top it all off, he swears revenge in the form of spanking my Q AND Supra. :rolleyes Lame excuses aside, this was a good run.

Chapter 2:

I roll down to Lowell to pay Sop a visit and pick up A/C compressor. We're down at the shop and he rolls up in a brandnew GS430. I ask if it's his and smiles and tells me "it is now." After sampling some good asian cuisine we head out for a run. I tell the kid "man you know the deal, 60 plus." Three honks and we're off. Cars stay pretty much even all the way to 100 where I start tippy-toeing away but sop decides to shut down. Aren't these cars supposed to have 330horses or something like that? Lexus: where's your 330horses now biatch!?

Fun day, great weather and more girls than you could shake a stick at.

With 4.11 rear gear= 14.1@100mph at New England Dragway. Without 4.11= 14.9@94mph.

Mods= generic JET chipped (cloned JWT I hear), custom Dynomax dual exhaust, home-made CAI with K&N cone

Please note that I have 210k on the O.

LOL - Not a cop....

I gotta get with Sop about the rear sway bar - I never answered him before.... Ooops!

If you see him before he sees this, can you ask if he's still got it?

Nope I was on the stock gear. It pulls harder uptop with the stock gear than it does with the 4.11. That probably has something to do with optimum gearing for top-end, you'll have to ask the local gurus here.

Don't be fooled by the docile demeanor, a well-maintained Q is vicious uptop. When I was returning from a dyno run with my at-the-time stock Supra I ran against my Q driven by my bro. The Q actually pulled the Dawg from 110 to 140. My brother left sh*t stains in his drawers saying he never felt a car that fast at those speeds.

why would you revert the gears? I'd mod the engine and go for better mileage.

Aztek... how often do you fellas go down to NE dragway? I've got to get my 240 down there this summer to dial in this damn NX kit. I rather not have it blow up the old KA. We should meet up some time... I'd love to get some advice and maybe even get schooled by that Q once or twice!!

No real engine mods available for the Q other than the JWT chip. It's already pretty hot-rodded from the factory.
