My under plenum hose replacement is coming along fine. Coolant Y-pipe, knock sensors, and fuel rails have been installed. All hoses in the kit from Joe have been replaced.

The vacuum hoses are soft, but upon closer inspection splits were found.

A previous post stated that the hose sizes were metric.

Does anyone know:

1. How to tell what size hoses are from the part numbers.

OR 2. How much of each size hose to buy to replace at least the hoses that will not be accessible when the plenum is replaced.

Some of the part numbers are: (with a * substituted from the odd symbol on the hose)

3*0221 4 inch long hose to left side fuel pressure regulator3*0119 5 inch long hose to right side fuel pressure regulator

These two hoses have small splits. Appear same size but much different number.

Thanks

Andy

There is a part number from Nissan that includes more than you will need of the correctly sized hose. CAll Joe and he can look it up on my recent order.

Im pretty sure your talking those tiny vacuum hoses without clamps, you can just get generic stuff from autozone.

Andy, its better to use a metric sized hoses.., but the standard ones that are available in local shops and stores is ok. Just make sure its tight enough and not kinked. i brought pieces of mine to a local store, have them compare to the ones available.

i think those are the ones underneath the TB. i cant picture out the vac hoses on the fuel pressure regulator and damper (l-r ?) the ones near them i think are the heater hoses besides the fuel injected hose?

When I bought my plenum kit Joe told me to just get the small vacuum lines at the auto store. He said it wasn't worth it to get the stuff he has.

For sure, because Joe USED to sell the stuff by the foot but now you can only get it by the reel, which is realyl expensive...

Actually it is very cheap at about $6.50/ft as opposed to $13/foot.

$37.76 for 2.5 meters.
