Well, it looks like we are getting married. For life. :)

To recap briefly, I've been in this long fling with my 1998 Q45 for five years, a simple lease to play, so to speak. Although I recently flirted with a younger, slimmer G35 in a hot red dress, at the end of the day (due to FICO reasons), I ended up coming back to old reliable. She may be older and heavier than the G35 trollop, but by golly, she can still romp with the best of them. And, although she's been ridden hard, my Q45 was never put up wet.

So, I signed the paperwork and now we are married. At $440 a month, she is a lot cheaper to support than that G35 floozie would have been, plus I got 1.9 percent financing.

Now that we are hitched, I will be looking for some performance and cosmetic enhancements, such as "automotive viagra." In particular, I'm looking at a gold package, K & N air filter charger, some additional wood for the interior, etc. If any of you have any other ideas on how to dress and inspire such a beautiful lady like my baby, feel free to let me know.

:)

Are all fluids fresh and maintenance is current? Good!

Then I recommend personally what AZhitman and I do. Get the Zaino kit and some Maui Jims. Apply Zaino per directions. Fresh tires and shocks optional. After you are finished, shower, dress get ready to don your Maui Jims. Start your car, warm till ready to drive, then enjoy.

Then enjoy driving a great looking and performing car, put on the Maui Jims so you can look cool (and cooly look) while doing it. To paraphrase Lyle Lovett, she's no bling-bling trollop, she's your automotive wife. Maybe you can think of a name for her while you are cruising those wide, smooth AZ interstates remembering all the fast times you had together.

Search the thread for Jim Burtman Industries if youre interested in wood trim. He posts on this forum.

Stillen.com carries some performance parts.

As far as names go, I conjured up all the female names that came to mind without negative connotations. (That throws out ex girlfriends, relatives, etc).

Oh, and congratulations. :)

Don- I had a G35 loaner for 3 days so I know what you mean, but I was still happy to get my Q back. Personal taste, I guess but 1) It's more my style and with smoother lines and more room and quiet 2) In the G, since I felt that if I wasn't pushing the car hard everywhere I went it was going to waste, I can only imagine how many times I'd get pulled over in a year!!!I will give serious thought tho to saving $ for a pewter G35 Coupe (love those lines!) so when they start coming off lease in 3 years or so, I can show up with a check and a smile..... Plus, that'll give me time to work out the parking logistics/ garage pecking order....

One thing you might hear from others is to avoid the K & N air filter. I have no personal experience with it, but the consensus is no gain and not worth the pain.
