If it's anything like my 92 TCS, it's fine to turn it off whent he road is dry. Sometimes, I turn it off when it's wet and just be very careful about how I accelerate.Victor wrote:on dry roads? Does leaving it on hurt gas mileage or performance if its not needed for the driving conditions? Specifically interested in the traction control on a 2000 Q45T. Thanks
Lol.Desmoquattro wrote:Funny, mine cuts in all the time when accelerating from a stop, even in second gear. Damn winter tires.
I like that lamp better than the SLIP light.NightRiderQ45 wrote:I never turn mine off. Mine is on 24/7. If I turn it off, then I have to deal with the bright orange signal in my face. Plus, I don't care about doing silly spin off at lights.
Now, that is what I hate about my car with the sunroof. I have to sit there and keep the button pressed the whole time while my friend's G50, his is the one touch. I don't know what in the hell the engineers where thinking when they canceled that option on the 97-98 Y33s. I don't know about the 99-01 models though.Haitian_King wrote:then I launch into a lengthy diatribe about how much cooler and advanced my car is compared to theirs. TCS, heated mirrors, one-touch window and sunroof, on board diagnostics, and more.

The TCS switch? It should be in the center console, directly in front of the armrest. If you don't have TCS then you won't have the button.avilas wrote:where is the on/off switch on a 91?
I wish i had your Eagle Talon TSI!!!Would be nice here in ALASKA to have a all wheel drive sports car.I've been looking for a eclipse GSX, Talon TSI either one would be nicehere. Id really like to get ahold of a Subaru SVX!!avilas wrote:where is the on/off switch on a 91?
I sent an email. I didn't want to post it in the seller's thread as not to appear rude.SUB ZERO CAR FANATIC wrote:Haitian.......... you said you said you had something for me,is it by chance a black emerald oem spoiler??
I think that there's more to it. Wiring and such. I think TCS-equipped Q's also have some sort of extra fluid reservoir. Or at least some contraption that takes up engine bay space.SUB ZERO CAR FANATIC wrote:If you dont see the rocker switch between your seats in the consolei think thats a sign you dont have traction control. like me!I wish i did have traction control!! I wonder how hard it would be to do??Rear end swap or just a case swap!!
Do you have the mounting brackets/hardware? ILL take it!give me your pay pal address.Haitian_King wrote:

It's a G50 spoiler prepped with gray primer. Ready to paint. $10 and $28.95 for shipping.

I don't really use it much. I guess I just like having it though.
GseaQ wrote:I just leave it on until I think I may want hard acceleration, which is impossible with TCS on. Simple matter to turn it off then.
If you use the right tires, it won't be a pest - good traction = less accidental wheelspin. As well, the more your TCS engages, the faster you wear out your rear brake pads!
So, with cheap, hard tires you'll need TCS to maintain good, safe traction, but it's interference will drive you nuts and you'll spend more on brakes.
Or, spend more on good, sticky tires, drive with as much exuberance as you like and don't worry about TCS being on OR off.
Sorry. I should have been clearer. I'm not the seller. It's an eBay auction that I came across. It ends in 1 day.SUB ZERO CAR FANATIC wrote:Do you have the mounting brackets/hardware? ILL take it!give me your pay pal address.
The TCS would be nice here where i live, we have snow and ice 75%of the time, and its bad enough owning a rear wheel drive here.A real wheel drive without traction control sucks, but i lovemy luxury cars and the Q happens to be my favorite, ill probablyend up selling it after i finish restoring it and look for a Q45 a or Q45 t,they both have traction control dont they? or do you know?
Hey buddy 99 is not any better one touch open hold your finger to close!!! its so killed!NightRiderQ45 wrote:
