I've been watching this drop in price for some time. I own a J30 and know they have their quirks. I am going to look at this some time this week and would like to know what you think. I guess the primary question (besides the risk that it has a blown engine or other catastrophic problem not listed), is how difficult is it to replace the injectors?

Thanks much, and I will give a full report on the condition if anyone here is interested if I pass.

"154K miles, V8, Auto, leather, ABS, dual airbags, power everything, auto climate control, moon roof. Rust free from Texas. One row of fuel injectors have been removed- all removed parts comes with car. Great project car. Just replace all the fuel injectors and you will have a very reliable car. DOES NOT RUN NOW- due to fuel injectors removed. The engine does not burn one drop of oil! It will pass E-check. Plus, everything on the car works perfectly fine. I know- I have two Q45's. I'm selling them because I have moved to California. My loss, your gain. My father will take care of the sale of this car in Cleveland.

The only catch is that this car was never titled in Ohio. That's why- along with the need for fuel injectors- the selling price is so low. I just have the title from the dealer in Texas, with my name signed on the back. As-is.

Will have to be towed away. "

Are you a trusting soul? I'd be very wary of buying a non-running vehicle. How do you know if it doesn't have a blown motor/bad transmission? The price would have be like a for-parts car and you'd have to be prepared to accept it if that's what it turned out to be.

Indeed, might end up a parts car. I'd be willing to sacrifice an afternoon to install new injectors before I paid for towing or the car.

As long as you have a $3K - $6K cash kitty, don't see a problem that can't be overcome.

What does the Infiniti dealer performed service history tell you?

That is a very nice offer, and I'm hoping to look at it later today. He also has a 92' for sale and I'll let you know how it goes. It seems the title is going to be the problem. The fellow will be back in town Mid-may to do the title work. I don't suspect its going anywhere.

Sounds like a sweet deal on a parts car or spare ride. Go for it!

Update for those interested.

Looked at the car: Rust free from Texas. Some wear on the drivers seat but otherwise very solid and clean. The injectors job is started, but no injectors or gaskets. It did not throw any codes. I can drag it away for a parts for 200 bucks. I think I will pass (no storage area) and I'm working on a Saab project right now.

One thing I did notice, and not sure if its normal, but the intake was very dirty with build-up. Otherwise he took care in removing intake and covering holes. Anyone interested, it's all yours?

If I was in Cleveland, I would be all over it for $200. Too bad the shipping would eat me alive...
