This would be for the 1st get Q45's there is a car called the Infinity President JGH50 that looks almost identical it seems to be made around the same years..

Is this possible? Also do a lot of VIP people in Japan do this? because I thikn the JHG50 is very rare there, yet I see it in the mags alot

That would be a Nissan President. They aren't really rare in Japan (been twice, inc. last month). I see very few in the mags, in fact, I don't see that many older cars in the VIP mags any more. I've seen a few in the dozen or so magazines I have. If you want to do a conversion, you need bumpers, hood, trunk, lights.

If you do a search, you should find other posts about them. Good luck if you decide to do it!

I think the last thread I saw about it ballparked the sheetmetal (alone) parts you'd need at >$5k, then shipping and installation and so on. So, I think it can be done, but one would be re-investing nearly the car's entire value (if not more) into cosmetics. While that's not "wrong" by any means, it seems a bit excessive, as a SC or turbo set up for the same money would be more fun .

Best bet is to watch the yahoo.jp auctions and find an importer.

If you choose to do so, good luck.

Hey Ted! Long time no see!

There are a couple immacualately-maintained G50's for sale (see member Jeff_Williams) here... LS400 is a pig, but somehow Toyota's shrewd marketing has fooled the public into thinking it's a worthy competitor for the G50.

Any connections for a tasteful body kit for the 94-96 Q45?

Good to see you around again.

Thanks for the plug, Greg.

Yes, I have 2 beautiful G50's for sale. See the Infiniti Shopping mall, and my member's ride section for the low down.

I personally would forgoe the hood, but love the look of the trunk. You would have to replace the tail lights, and the rear fenders would have to be cut up a bit. Be sure to get all the internal trunk panels, and the rear bumper too.

ok quick question, I love the chrome peices on the pillars, and the chrome mirrors. Can those be added as a replacement of the original G50 mirror? and the chrome accents on the pillars?

if there is a brand new Japanese Nissan part you need from the Japanese Nissan dealer I can try to get a quote, but it will be expensive, and shipping on stuff is a lot, unless it's small like mirrors..

We don't have any kits, but we do have a add-on grill for the 90-93 G50 so it dosen't have that awful grill-less look.

I definately want to make some reasonably priced stuff, that dosen't cost as much as the car.

I just e-mailed my broker in regards to the cost of the hood, front fenders, lights, grill and bumper. He will hopefully get back to me soon! I know that the parts can be bought for relatively cheap, it's shipping that I'd worry about...

We will soon see though what the parts can be purchased for @ FOB price (total cost ready to ship from Japan).
