I know this is redundant but all I hear is Q45 swap on a rb2x motor, but what year Q45 ? or all Q45 will work with the rbs engine. :gotme

Have you done the Q45 throttle body swap on the rb25det S2 engine, I know it has to be rewired and the voltage is different. So what do you do to get the proper voltage to the Q45 throttle body

To my knowledge, the q45 tb is still a 0 - 5 volt range. I know for a fact it is adjustable because I just sold one. I think on turbod motors it is not necessary to go larger than a 2.5” throttle body unless you are planning on more than 700hp. You would probably benefit more by port to match than just going big because the larger you go, you will lose velocity. Believe it or not, loosing velocity can cause you to have less flow.

I understand what you saying and it is all true and I rather to asked than just mess things up(it is my first time doing a RB swap), but I was looking for a raplacement throttle body due to mine got damage when they shipped the engine to me.. I red that I need to do some rewiring to get it to work with a series two RB thats why I thought on doing the Q45 swap.

Yes, you have to wire up the q45 tps plug and set the voltage. You also have to cut the flange off of your intake manifold and weld on a q45 tb flange. It is not a direct bolt on affair. I don't know how big the rb throttle bodies are but sr and ka throttle bodies im pretty sure are a direct bolt on and are 60mm. I have an extra sr tb if you need it.

So your greddy plenum has the q45 flange? There sweet. Our sr greddy ” style” manifold don't hasn't the option for the q45 flange. Anyways on the wiring, the q45 has black for ground, red for power and white for signal. Most likely your harness will have at least the white for signal and black for ground but power I've seen different colors for different nissans. Also, the q45 tb. If it didn't have the pigtail for the 6” part than just look at any nissan 3 pin oxygen sensor and they have the same plug. That way you can set it up to just be unplugged instead of snipped every time you need the tb off.

Thr q45 tb I'm referring to is the older style. Thr plugs are different buy I'm sure you could make that one work.

I google the q45 tb and it seem like this one comes with the traction control which it makes it that big and Ill try to make it work but I also was going to see if I can re-sale it for 60 I dont care if I lose some money... anyways I have seen 2000+ year model dont come with that big thing in the side
