I know many of you guys on the boards have the Greddy Intake Manifolds with your RB25's.....and are using Q45 Throttle bodies....

I was just wondering how easy, or how do you guys wire them up (install them)_....I have the Intake Manifold and i got a throttle Body from a 94-95 Q45 that had Traction Control....

All advice and hints are welcome

Thank you

I think you need the TB from a NON traction control

In the manual for the mani is the wiring diagrams....just gotta find a way to translate the.

I got the 96 without traction control & the tps is identical looking to the one on the stock throttlebody. I think I am going to swap the rb25 tps onto the Q45 TB.

I think maybe the SI RB25 TPS will bolt onto the Q45 TB? I know my SII TPS would not fit.

BTW, I have a polished non-traction control Q45 TB w/ tps for $170 shipped if anyone is looking for one.

Yes SII tps's do not bolt up to the q45 throttlebody. You must also use a non-TC model. Also as for wiring it is three wires one of which is black for ground. For the other two wires, I tried both ways and one way gives you about 10 in/hg and the other way gives you about 20 in/hg. So I just wired it up so the vac is at 20 in/hg

I am having a custom intake manifold made for me. I found this Throttle Body...

It's from a 93 Q45 with Traction Control. 77mm. I want to know if I can use it, and what do I have to do to it to use it.

Will this work????I am sure I can take off the elbow. The guys doing the work for me are metal workers, so I am sure that they can do a little customization to it if need be.

What will we need to do to use it? Thanks

For one that elbow piece needs to be taken off, then you need to modify the TB to hook up the IC pipes to it. That black thing on there will probly have to come off for clearance issues. and any extra ports of the TB will need to be plugged. I would just sell it and find a non-TC model, as it will save you a lot of hassle.

You could probably just cut the traction control section off and weld a new pipe to the end of the throttle body. But I've never looked at one closely so I don't know if that would work

i have the tc type q45 on my greddy im, remove the solenoid on the side along with the extra butterfly gate ( a 12 inch 3/8 inch extension will do with a hammer and some patiece.) Then plug the hole where the shaft was. i used cam caps the nylon urethane type with some silicone.works good.

there is another step but i will post later need better instructions.
