I did a search and all I saw was rb's and one post about sr but nothing about the Ka! Does any one know if it would fit? I'm thinking that if it did it would improve a lot for my Ka-t I'm working on.

If not are there any other TB's out there would bolt up?

through simple logic I would ASSUME it would fit since the throttle bodies from the KA's are interchangeable with SR throttle bodies.

So I'm going to go with a yes... but it's just an educated guess. nothing more.

Let us know what you find if you end up going through with this

bigger tb =

IIRC, the Q45 TB is 90mm (or am I thinking of the MAF???). Its used with Greddy intakes (both SR and RB I think). So I guess its too big for a stock KA intake manifold.

My thinking was, after the search, rb20 and sr20’s are smaller displacement than a KA. From what I've read some people think that It's a little to big for a sr, but they do have an intake for it.

I seen one being sold for $30 and was thinking of giving it a chance.

From what I've read is that it would give a 4-5 HP boost but that's in a sr motor. I'm hoping It's a little more in a Ka-T. I should have every thing done with my car by late May, giving that I'm still waiting on parts, so I'll post results with stock and the Q45 throttle bodies.

Oh yea! Does anybody know for sure if it fits or will it be a custom fab job?

if IwannaS15's info is correct, you'll have an assload of porting to do if you can even get it to bolt up. if it will bolt up to a stock SR manifold then it will bolt on to your KA but you'll need to port-match the upper intake manifold quite a bit.

To the best of my knowledge he is correct; the throttle body is 90mm

If you are gonna buy one make sure the donor car DID NOT HAVE Traction Control. TB's only from NON Traction Control cars are compatible.

Ahhh. good info. I didn't know that. Any telltale signs on the TB to look for? does it have anything extra the non TC cars don't?

Dam! well I guess I have to find another one. Better to find out now than to buy it and find it out on my own.
