Has anyone pursued changing the metal sunroof w/ glass on the 90' - 96' Q? (Not the cheapo pop up type) I can't believe it would be a tough job.

Converting a sunroof to a moonroof would be a tough one. Not only you have to convert the metal to glass roof but also you'll have to make a custom sliding cover. A moonroof is kinda useless without a sliding cover.

The pop-up vent would be particularly difficult.

I actually now prefer the sunroof to the moonroof. Except for spotting smokey in the sky.

I agree with brian, i like the sunroof better, i find that I never really liked the see through. if i want to see the outside, ill open it, otherwise, i always had the visor closed in other cars.

I just finished replacing the weatherstrip on my sunroof. Getting the sunroof lid out is a bit tricky. It took me one hour to find out how and 30 seconds for the work of removal.
