Heheh, I know it may be a silly question, but I've been coveting a Q45a after reading some of the posts about conversion to standard suspension. But I already own a 96 and have been putting the necessary money into it - seems foolish to take the loss on a sale and then put that same money into a used Q45a. Besides, I like some of the features of the 96 like OBDII, correct me if I'm wrong.

So .... um .... is it even feasible to think about adding the Active suspension to a 96? I couldn't find anything about it in the search function.

Thats actually a great idea! But I wonder how much weight the active suspension components would add to the detuned and already heavier 96 model?

I read a post from a couple years ago that said 143 more lbs for the Active suspension.

So you think it's a great idea, huh? My concern is cost - seems it might be frightful.

What a labor mightmare, the rear subframe and suspension arms/front arms replacement and more need mounts for sensors.......harnesses probably 50 hours of work plus a side by side donor car that had a fully working active system to transfer each piece.

Some software magic to deal with ODB2 say another $4,000 plus $4,000 for a professional job. Plus cost of donor parts.

Somebody try it.
