I'm wondering if any one can tell me why my Q45 would stall when I have to brake suddenly. It has only happened a few times in the last 4 or so months, but I think it is becoming more frequent. I'm worried that it will get to the point that it stalls every time I brake. Any ideas?PS It's not my fault I'm having to brake suddenly, it's the other drivers!

I think its the MAF Sensor read this: zerothread?id=102297, http://q45.org/maf.html and while you have the air box off you might as well clean the throttle body: http://q45.org/tbclean.html easier if you don't have TCS like me, I am screwed I am not doing my main TB till I have to take off the plenum and hopefully thats not for another two years.

Also check your transmission fluid level. A low level can cause the torque converter to lock up and stall the engine when you brake.

Actually, I think your cause is more likely to be transmission/TC than MAF.

Thanks for your help. I'm so gald it was a problem that was so easy to fix. Now, I'll find out if it really worked, as I take an 1800 mile road trip with two 17 year olds.
