Hi, I wanted to change my spark plugs, but do not know the gap setting for the platinum spark plugs that I need to get. Any help would be greatly appreciated, naturally.

I drive a 1994 Q45, 152 000 km.

Thanks again,

Damien

You absolutely want to only get the OEM Nissan Plugs specified in your owner's manual - or the NGK equivalent. There are loads of horror stories from Bosch and other aftermarket plugs. The OEM plugs come pre-gapped, although there is a spec. somewhere. I wouldn't mess with them with a cheap spark-plug gapper.

Good luck!

Definitely ONLY use NGK plugs. No exceptions.

I gapped mine at 45. This is the factory setting, and I believe it is listed in the FSM somewhere.

The plugs come pre-gapped, and are very close to spec. I did not have to change anything, but I did check (it is in my nature - I can not change that).

Yeah we checked mine and made sure they were .45 gap. I mean it's a Q45 so gap them at .45 for goodness sakes. If it were an I30 I guess we'd guess them at .30 or something.

JK. What Jeff said.

Last week I got NGK Iridium Sparkplugs and what a difference it makes. This is a 2002 Q45. mileage improved to 20.5 mile in town from 17.5. Current mileage is 92,000 miles
