q45 slip light comes on and car loses power

slip light comes on upon acceleration after running about 5 min and flashs. car also seems to stall like a flooding situation when this happens . upon depressing the accelerator to the floor cars seems to power thru the problem and is fine until cycle is restarted as in leaving from a light or stopping and starting any input would be appreciated car has 260 thou on it bought it used last year also slip light seems to be a heat related problem possibly did it a few times last summer but never stalled and had not reoccurred until a few days ago

What year is this G50? TCS? HICAS?

Give us a little maintenance history, please. If it is either of the above, how do the respective fluids look?

Have you replaced the EGR valve, cleaned the IAC valve, intake manifold, throttle body, dhcecked the MAF sensor connection? New air filter, fuel filter? BG44K treatment recently? So much is unknown by us about your car.

Maybe a bad relay.

replaced both relays and problem persists also notice a humming sound intermintently which seems to be located front right engine area when the slip light comes on and the car drops into safe mode, am pulling battery today and checking for lose wires and cleaning everything but plan on going to t 3 monday car is a 94 with tcs also from reading previous posts the fuel pump has always been noisy {constant hum } could this be fuel related possibly ?

If your problem occurs only when the "slip" light goes on, I need to assume you have TCS (Traction Control System). You can tell for sure by whether the "TCS" button is on the center console just rearward from the shifter.

If you have TCS and the problem occurs only when the TCS "SLIP" light on the dash is on, then something thinks that slip is happening, and TCS may otherwise be working properly, i.e. reducing power when slip is detected. If true, then work on figuring out why the slip light is going on.

Did you try turning "TCS" off using the switch?

Otherwise its a whole different troubleshootin direction....
