Has anyone got a service manual they can send me some bits out of? I'd like the engine sections as I'm doing a transplant and aftermarket ecu so want to know what to keep and what to get rid of.

What kind of transplant? What kind of aftermarket ECU?

I'm putting a VH45 from a 90 Q45 into a Nissan Patrol with single T64 and Link ECU. Going for a conservative 500hp to start with and then once I've larnt to drive it again I'll up the boost and go for around 600hp. It is a Winch Challenge truck power to weight is the goal oh yeah and the 7300 revs indestructable motor. You just gotta love Nissan motors! I was running a Nissan TD42 (4.2 diesel) intercooled 21psi boost etc etc but the VH is about 130kgs lighter, has double the revs and uses the same trans! Hopefully it will be going before the end of Feb!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I haven't seen a patrol since I was in Switzerland! Very cool 4x4. I haven't ever seen one here. I personally would like to see some pics, especially of the VH install.

I had a look here but nothing for Q45 or VH45 that I could find. Any other ideas?

Wonderful Internaweb Trivia: the story was told in the late seventies that there'd been a kind of informal agreement between Nissan and Toyota that Toyota wouldn't sent the 2000GT to America, and Nissan wouldn't send the Patrol. So Toyota continued with the Land Cruiser, and the automotive world was forever changed by the 240Z.On both counts, we got a bit short-changed.I'd heard this from a Datsun parts guy who was pretty-well attuned to the automotive world, but again, it's an internaweb rumor. Or, now it is.

I'm not a computer expert but I know it is a .rar compressed file (zipped) and you need to download the program Winrar to uncomress (unzip) it. Here's a recent thread that may help (near the bottom).
