Thanks for the info Q451990, my 91 Q45 is shifting great with the 93 tcu, I picked up the same one that you stated in the post with the exact same numbers, I have done a lot of work to the engine changing the guides porting and making exhaust ports a little larger, and I have also changed the hn27c256 chip and i have a aftermarket air intake and last week I also installed the tokico blue shocks,it runs like a high performance exotic import, I am now going to purchase a body kit something that is functional to get some front end down force, I already have the original q45 rear spoiler.

Have yet to establish that any after market" intake" will increase performance without sacrificing in a huge way longevity.

Even omitting the OEM filter will only gain a totally unnoticeable 2% of air flow and thus power increase.

The NICO ECU will give you the best bang for the buck.

I'm glad you're enjoying the '93 TCU... it's really the biggest single upgrade for the 90-92 Q45! You might want to hold on to your original TCU for winter... I've been told that starting in 2nd gear is a good thing in snow. Given that we see it here once every two or three years, I just stay home
