q45 rotor questions

I am having trouble tracking down a place that sells powerstop rotors for my q45 brakes. Anyone know of a place where I can order them at a reasonable price?

shot in the dark....would 300zxTT rotors fit the q45 calipers? Or is the offset different or are they just too thick? If they do fit there would be so many more options...

i believe they are just a little off.

the J30 and Q45 use the same brakes. the Z32 uses the same diameter rotor, but the J and Q use a 28 mm thick rotor, while the Z uses either a 26 or 30 mm thick rotor depending on caliper.

theres another company that i know sells them, but i cant think of it right now.

for a good street setup, i would recommend brembo blanks and a set of porterfield R4S pads.

others would recommend metal master pads [not sure what version, ive never used metal master pads]

Joe sells the Stillen rotors. Mine were drilled on Bradi blanks and coated with that gold stuff like the PowerStop that prevents rust. They have warped in about the same timeframe as the PowerStops that I have used in the past. My experience with the PowerStop rotors was that the first warping happend pretty quickly, and then after I had them turned the first time they were much better. We'll see if that works with the Stillen's as well. BTW - these were indexed to below spec. but I'm sure I had a lot of fun with them in the first 2000 miles

I prefer OEM pads.

I have been using metal master pads for 6 months...I bought them after reading some of q45tech's posts . I decided to buy some powerstop rotors after my OEMs warped and reading some more of his posts. I just can't seem to find them. I am skeptical of stillen, because of things I have heard (including http://www.stillensucks.com/). Thanks again for the help.

It appears that most of the issues on that site - at least at a quick glance - are customer service. The good news is that you'd be dealing with Joe instead of them - and you can't get better customer service than Joe!

Personal, professional experience, Stillen DOES suck. Try to get replacement parts for your s/c Maxima & you'll find out.
