The maxima has had an OEM optional rear window spoiler since about 1993.

To my knowledge this is not an option for the Q45.

Is any one aware of an aftermarket one for a 1994 Q45.

Regards

AGM

AZhitman,

The window to the spoiler is pretty small!

Are we talking a brake light mounted in the spoiler?

AGM, I think no one here has a clue to what you are referring. Could you be more descriptive for us myopic yanks?

Looking at the backlight trim moulding, I really don't see any way to attach a diffuser there, unless it was glued to the glass, which would restrict rearward vision at the top of the backlight.

Functionally, I am not sure what it would accomplish.

The rear window mouldings for the 93 Maxima and Q's are the same (at least it was the same between my 91 Max and 90 Q. Interesting idea, but I've never seen one on a Q (or a Maxima for that matter)

LESSSTHANJAKEJOHN,

You got it in one. Some might call it an external sun shade or a Sun diffuser.

Your picture is exactly what I am talking about (or at least trying to). My mother put one on her 1991 Maxima and it looks pretty good. I am not looking for it to serve any purpose other than looks.

Rather than taking it off my mothers car (mounting points are glued to glass), what I am realy asking, is if the the Maxima has the same rear window as the Q45 so it will fit, or do that have different rear windows.

Regards

AGM

I doubt it's the same rear window, but you could measure it to see (since you have your mom's available to compare it with)

I just know that the gasket system looks about the same...

Rear window spoiler = a lip at the top of the roof line / rear window. Very popular in VIP as well as Euro tuning. I'd love one, Junction Produce, Wald, they all make them, but you're looking at something around 4-500 bucks unpainted.

Unless they use the same glass, it won't work. I've never seen one of any brand for that cheap.
