I would say you could crank up to about 6lbs with some race gas.... on a stock ECU, maybe turn the timing back 1 or 2 degrees for safety.

I was a little naughty and pulled the wastegate line ( ) to make sure it would go higher than 3 PSI and it did...at about 5-6 PSI it didn't like it and started to detonate. I'm not turning it up any more until I get my wideband installed to monitor it. BTW boost shot up quick and it was all the way to about 6-7 PSI before I could get off the throttle. That was not a nice sound coming from my motor I have to keep my animal instincts under control and not try to get too much too fast. Oooo but it's tempting!

Man I love the sounds my Q is making, (except for that one time, lol). I wonder how many neighbors heard the jet flyby last night?

Check back later today, I'll try to get a couple videos up by tonight...

If your flex pipe sections have the woven mesh inside the pipe, don't use them. Those type are known to send wires through the turbo and ruin it.

Shot a few videos today. I'm a little disappointed because you can't hear the turbo sound as much as in real life. Part of the problem was that I was starting with the gated shifter in 1st and when I let off the throttle all you hear is the engine revving as I decelerate and it overpowers the turbo sound. A couple are ok, but I am going to shoot some more and just leave it in drive and not use 1st. I also tried the NICO ECU in place of the OEM one and the response seemed pretty much the same.

Here is the first batch of videos, more to come as I figure out how to better capture the experience.

Higher speed flyby video...

Demo of the BOV sound at low boost, around 1 psi, turn up the volume and you can hear the BOV...

In car video showing RPM and boost gauge. Not very exciting but I included it anyway.

Revving engine while parked, definitely hear the turbo on this one.

Oh, and here's a photo of the gauges.

Very nice. What do we have to do to get you to run more than 3 lbs of boost?

Do you need the boost map BIN?

Yes, your rough boost bin would be helpful. Siju said it was too rich and sluggish with that map on his but that's better then detonation. Plus I made a boost controller that will allow me to set boost at whatever I want so if it's too rich I can just turn up the boost til it evens out. It would be nice to have the stock map with the address file as well to start tweaking. First thing actually is to get my wideband installed so I know where my a/f ratios are to start with.

Drove it to work this morning for the first time with the turbo, it's fun turning heads when they hear that turbo spooling Anyone who thinks I'd have lag can rest assured it does not. Obviously, off the line it's doesn't hit right away but if I am moving at any speed above 15-20 mph I am at full boost in about 1-2 seconds and at about 3k rpm or less. I hit full boost quickly without even going WOT.
