FORMER 93 Q45 OWNER...NOW 95 Q45T OWNER. I HAD TO REPLACE transmission IN 93. I THINK DUE TO NO transmission COOLER. ARE transmission COOLERS STOCK ON 94-96 MODELS?

DOES ANYONE NOW HOW TO PROGRAM KEYLESS ENTRY REMOTE? NOT SURE IF PROGRAMMING OR FUSE, MOD, ETC. NOW HERE IS THE TOUGH ONE... SPEEDO WORKS...TRIP ODO WORKS...MAIN ODO ADDS A MILE OR TWO ABOUT EVERY 6TH TIME YOU STOP CAR. AND NOT NOT JUST STOP BUT TURN OFF, ETC NOT JUST AT STOPLIGHT. AND WHAT I MEAN BY ADD A MILE...THOSE ARE THE ONLY MILES REGISTERING!

I HATE TO ASK FOR TRIVIAL PARTS HERE BUT DOES ANYONE HAVE, OR KNOW WERE TO GET, SHOP AND OWNERS MANUAL AND FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET?

Hi, Geoff and welcome to NICO!

1) No. Thew stock set-up is a bit better on 94/06 for transmission cooling than earlier cars, but you still need an aftermarket cooler.2)Try our Buy/Sell/Trade section (part of "Shopping Mall" forums) as well as ebay. They tend to pop up on both every once in a while.

I don't know if I am understanding this totally but you're saying that the trip odo works fine. That is, you drive 3 miles, it registers 3 miles.

BUT the main odo, if you drive 100 miles on the highway without stopping, it doesn't register anything? You have to shut the car off and then restart the car SIX TIMES and then finally one mile registers?

I know that the main odo doesn't have tenths of a mile so sometimes it seems like a long time before the number changes but your situation sounds very strange.

must be elect problem. this afternoon I got 12 miles out of odo..then it stopped. The 12 miles were accurate ones. Once it stops during a drive it will never start up again in that same drive. the next drive added 2 miles then stopped and not to start up again in that drive

The transmission cooler setup on my 95 was the same as on my 93. There are lines going to the hot and cool side of the radiator. The one difference is that my 95 had an external filter after the coolers, and my 93 did not. That made hooking up an air/fluid cooler more difficult since I couldn't easily replace the cooling loop on the hot tank with a air/fluid cooler like I did on my 93. I ended up just running the air/fluid cooler in series after the filter since any other configuration would have required a bunch of plumbing.

Don't you miss the seats on your 93? It's really a shame they screwed up what were the best sedan seats I've ever sat in by making flatter and less supportive.

I did like the comfort of the 93 seats, but like the look of the 95. lumbar support and other addl adj help on the 95 for long trips. and boy how would we ever survive without power headrests?

Here are the directions I have from the Montgomery Infiniti dealership for my remote. They worked on my '94 Q:

TECHNICAL BULLETIN ITB93-068

J30/G20/Q45 Remote Transmitter Programming

Applied Models: 1993-94 J30; 1993.5 G20; 1994 Q45

SERVICE INFORMATION:

The proper procedure for programming additional remote controllers is listed below.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

While sitting inside the vehicle:

1. Open the trunk.2. Close and lock all doors.3. Insert and remove the key from the ignition six (6) times within ten (10) seconds.4. Manually unlock and lock the driver’s door once (1) to enable “setting” mode.5. Push the lock button on the new remote controller once (1), just long enough to hear it beep, within five (5) seconds of completing step 4.6. If additional remotes are needed (up to 3), repeat steps 4 and 5 for each additional remote immediately after programming the first remote.

Note: A total of four (4) remotes can be programmed to function on the same vehicle.

For additional information, please refer to page BF-38 of the 1993 and 1994 J30 Service Manuals; page BF-17 of the 1993 G20 Service Manual Supplement; and page EL-148 of the 1994 Q45 Service Manual.

The ODO problem would make me suspiciious of the actual mileage your car shows. I think the ODO is mechanical, while the trip ODO is electronic. It sounds like a linkage problem.
