what is the use of that plug :confused:

It looks the same as the OBD-1 consult plug and is in a similar location to other vehicles (my wife's and daughter's Accords). Pic below shows the OBD-2 code reader plug on left and OBD-1 on right. Two different shapes. If your Q is a 2000 you should have an OBD-2 connector somewhere.

That is the Nissan CONSULT diagnostics port to hook up the Nissan Consult tool.

Take a look at page 37:

Yeah on the OBDII cars you got the regular OBDII port and the consult port... :)

The consult is the nissan specific diagnostic tool that dealerships have to run various diagnostic tests and stuff.
