Just replaced all (or almost all) of the hoses under the plenum due to a coolant leak. Finally got it all back together and now it will hardly run. It coughs and pops and won't idle. It is undrivable in it's current state. The car was running great before I took it apart, so I'm sure I've left something undone. The trouble is I don't know what it is. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking?

My Q45 is a 96 model with 95,000 miles.

thanks!Patrick

No MIL? Check all harness and vacuum hose connections first.

What's MIL? I've checked the connections, MAF and all the hoses, but I must be missing one somewhere. Could this behaviour be caused by a small vacuum hose or one of the large air bypass hoses? Or could it be the IAC? I cleaned the IAC but I believe it's hooked up correctly.thanks

Someone in the past mentioned using a gadget that blows smoke into the intake to identify leaks.

Well I found the problem. One of the plenum gaskets was askew causing a large opening in the intake. Fortunately I was able to loosen the plenum bolts and slide it back in place. thanks for the help!
