I hope they sell that as an option package for the Q, like the Indy 500 pace cars. even though the engine is untouched the interior rocks, but they could put in the indy infiniti engine!

so when are you getting that interior for your '02? it's kinda funny that the Q has more torque than the race car, but i know the race car is tuned for hp, not torque. 10,700 rpm redline would be pretty cool in a street V8.

nice pics by the way. i could only find the three pics of it.

What race was/is this Q the pace car for? I would love to see the Q as the pace car for the Indy 500 but they only pick Domestic cars for the job. I think GM has had the most pace cars for the last 40 years.

I think that was for IRL, Indy racing league.I dont know if it ever ran yet, maybe we company who had the last win has to right to furnish the pace car?Infinti won that race mentioned there so maybe it was getting ready for teh race after..?The above is idle speculation, someone educate me.

I believe that that particular car would be pacing an Infiniti Pro Series race. I'll make a call and find out.

That car or at least a safety prepped Q45 was the pace car for the Infiniti Pro Series. I was at the Kentucky Speedway race last year. The one Jason Preisstly got hurt at in pre-race pratice.

Back to the car.... When they would come out of turn 4 and the pace car would bolt down pit road it beat the field to the start finish line. Not sure who was driving it, but they had to be SMILING from ear to ear.
