Q45 output shaft removal

just had a quick question, i'm trying to take the differential "guts" out of the housing itself. for some reason I'm getting hung up on getting the output shafts out. on any other diff, i would just tap the flange and the whole shaft would come out. i've tried everything and didn't know if there was something I'm missing. any help would be appreciated, thanks
