q45 oil filter opinions

using up my last good q oil filter,wondering what everyone is using since the original was discontinued? factory replacement new part number,or aftermarket? i am considering the pure one,k & n,or mobil 1 filter.I do 90 day,6000 mile oil and filter changes using redline 10w-30 oil.any others to consider?

Personally I like WIX or if you like NAPA GOLD they are the same filter made by WIX for NAPA.

Been working great for me and I change the filter with the Mobile 1 oil every 3000 miles. Most likely overkill but oil is still cheaper than a new VH45DE!

There was a link somewhere, where some guy cut out a bunch of oil filters. It was a pain to read.... I could only conclude from it that Fram sucked.

I put my bets on Mobil 1 (used OEM before), because of their high-quality and reasonably priced motor oils.

And since moving to St Louis, I can actually FIND the darn filters and buy them locally now.

Yes, FRAM sux! No anti-drain back system.....this allows your motor to have no oil up top on initial startup. YIKES! :eek:
