I'm working on a aluminum cold air box for pop chargers and a wood and aluminum shift knob.

CF DriveShaft... I'll be starting a group buy on this as soon as the chap gets back to me. This should be one of the best performance:dollar ratios around! Over25lbs of rotating mass down the sh*tter!

B&M Transmission cooler and JWT ECU too.

Headers (finish date 6/2/04)

Corey, instaed of jumping the gun on things for "group buy" consideration (which is really never a deal), why not let me see if I can get a distributorship and get them to you guys near cost?

Supercharger project might actually wind up on the opposite end of the country... Still shopping for a fabricator. Corey, you and I need to talk, as I'll have a need for some CAD work on this as well.

FSTB will be a gooder. Hitman, did you e-mail me? My junk mail filter catches most of the e-mails that originate from NICO's message system. I usually sort through my junk mail though and haven't seen anything yet.

Anyways, feel free to e-mail me c_kirzinger at hotmail.com .

I think you should try to work with Thomas Knight. He knows the Q, and is willing to work on it. Price can always be negotiated.

$4,000 he quoted for me, was 1 unit, with an FMU...

He nows want to use an eaton 112, instead of a 90...

If you can get something cheap by all means do... however, he is proven

Furthermore, he told me the main reason the cost was high, was the fact he was going to buy a VH for testing...

If he has an engine, price would drop...

the engine + the fmu is about 20% of his price quote...

Would his work on the 90-93 engine be applicable on 94-95 (even 96) engine iterations?

We may need to look harder for a parts car.

Yea it'd work for fittig a supercharger. The plenums are the same (upper plenum). The lower plenum bolts ot the upper at the same point.....

Lets find ourselves a parts car then! I'll start searching tonight.

We should easily be able to make back the initial investment.

Like I said before, Thomas is more then willing to fabricate superchargers for the Q.

HE develops S/C kits for a living. He developed THE ONLY supercharger for the G50. He now feels the eaton 112 (off the lightning) would be superior to his earlier eaton m90 setup. More low end torque. He also feels that a mixture of fluids in the windshield wiper reservoir would be sufficient for cooling. He seems to think intercooling is not neccasary, unless you are boosting 10+.. He says he can make a mixture that is housed in the windshield wiper resorvoir will cool perfectly fine.

I don't think his price of $4,000 is that bad for one unit. What you get in return is simply priceless. With his kit and JWT ecu, you are looking at 400+ hp.. for under 5 grand that isnt a bad price.. Of course if you don't have the money it's expensive, but it's all relative to what you get in return.

IF we can provide Thomas a VH, we can subtract that cost off the price, including $100 for an FMU (wont need with JWT ecu)

He quoted $3,500 for a group buy of 5.. he says he can offset the cost of a used VH with that many units.. Perhaps we could negotiate to $3,000..

Anyway, supercharging is more then available. If you have the time and resources.

The windshield reservoir is for water injection.

I have a VH45 from a 94-95 at the machine shop. No accessories though.

We already HAVE a VH45DE with the supercharger bolted to it.

If anyone's willing to have it shipped up north (still in the car), I can arrange it. Probably cost approx $800 to get it there.

Not sure why he'd still need an engine... The work has been done.

He seems to want to use an Eaton 112 as opposed to the smaller eaton m90... I think this is why he wants an engine...

He told me the eaton 112 would make more low end power...

Anyway, he is more then willing to help.. He answers his emails, as well.

The rest is up to us.
