I dont think there are any bands in there,i think the system uses a small air compressor to inflate bladders that create the increased firmness, and release air to decrease firmness- i can hear the compressor run,and the rush of air when decreasing firmness- FSM has NOTHING on this subsystem, just like the external transmission filter!

that is what I thought it was also...some internal air bladder as I recall as I remember hearing air rush in and out as well

THE VERDICT:no bladder, there is a small high torque motorthat drives a 1/2 inch gear that drives a 1/4 round gear that pushes a lever attached to a steel bar (that looks like a mini sway bar) this bar pivots and pushes the lumbar out.Mine has a broken weld (lever to steel push bar)the steel yard across the street from my office is welding it at lunch time probably a $10.00 tip

the back seat cover lifts up from the bottom then out 30 secondsthen remove the bottom 3-4 clasps that hold the side leather onthen u can access the situationi then removed the motor assembly w/bracket think it was 10mm wrench from bottom and side this gave me access to my broken weld took me a couple of hours, should take u no more than 30 minutes to see what is up

Friday!!!! WTF!!!! I am going to do a F'ing "code red" on those sons of blitches if they don't have my car ready by tomorrow (thursday)....look for me on the CNN 5pm news for a Q45 owner going postal ramming a header down some damn fabricators throat!!!

You all ride the F'ing bus and smell the wonderful smell of HBO....(Hatian Body Order) and all the crack heads!!!!

Well it is not really all that bad getting rides from friends, riding the bus, and renting a car....but $hit gets old after almost 5 weeks. This Friday will be 5 weeks with the header shop. $hit....Rome was built sooner.
