First off, I used the search but was unable to come up with any results.I have a 2002 Q45 and I want to know if there would be any issues with the flasher with running LED's on my exterior lights. I know the side blinkers are LED so I was thinking it could be a possiblity that they would work without blowing out a fuse.

I think one thing youll find as a drawback to LEDs is that they tend to have less of a circular viewing area compared to regular incandescent light bulbs... What kind of LED's were you gonna use? the kind that just plug into your stock sockets?

as far as them physically working, they should work fine, however because they draw less current, they may make the flashers blink too fast..... they may or they may not, i dont know for certain.... But your not going to hurt anything to my knoweldge.

Thats what I was worried about. On my Pontiac grand prix, I had to get a custom built flasher in order for the lights to blink at normal speed. Prior to getting the flasher, I blew out a bunch of fuses and I was driving around not knowing that my brake lights and turn signals were not working. Luckily I did replace the fuses the next day and took out the LED's until the flasher was built.

I was planning on using the one's that go straight into the socket. I understand that LED's have less circular viewing area but I am planning on tinting my tail lights, leaving the reverse portion white and I need more intense brake and turn signals.

I am using LEDs in my front turn/park lights from http://www.tmiled.com/

Had them in there for about a year with pretty good results. Not quite as bright as stock, but not bad. I had to buy their aftermarket flasher to prevent the "fast flash" problem that you are concerned about. I don't know why you would have been taking out fuses in your previous car, since the LEDs pull less current... in any case that's not typical.

Good luck!
