The Key Fob for my 1995 Q45 is eating batteries. Seems to be 1 per month. I will try to take it apart and check/clean the contacts. I might just have to buy a new one. Has anyone had this problem? Where is the best place to purchase a new one? Thanks in advance

I've always gotten used ones off eBay, I've had a couple bad ones so don't over-pay.

A Key Fob is a key-less entry and security device. Its the electronic lock on your key chain.

Since my initial post I have diagnosed my problem. It is not eating batteries like I thought. It appears that my fob locks up and needs a reboot, sort of like rebooting a pc. I remove the battery, re-insert it and Walla. The fob works again for about a month. I can live with that. i carry a quarter in my pocket to remove and re install the battery cover.

And btw, there's no such thing as a 1989 Q45.
