YES you can bolt up the q45 calipers with the stock rotors, BUT THIS IS NOT SAFE!!!!!! DONT DO IT!!!!!!! because as the pads wear the pistons could over extend to the point of fluid loss or them comming out completely. you have to use the q45 rotors too, as the are much thicker. and it kinda defeats the purpose for this swap, bigger pad/rotors to resist heat soak. any machine shop should be able to machine the 8mm off of the outside of the rotors. i think that ALL j30's and q45's use the same calipers. also i do not know forsure if this will work on your 02 max, but it cant be that much different. pull it apart and compare it to my pictures. when i did mine i went back with new stock rears. as of now, i have rolled around 12k on these since i installed them, and not a single issue

i've had mine on for around the same 12k and absolutely no issues.. i'm getting drilled and slotted rotors and hawk hps pads within the next month as well... this should be fun
