Hey! Does anybody know of a good repair shop in West Los Angeles or the Valley to work on my 1995 q45? I have to get new fuel injectors and possibly some other work. The Infiniti dealer in Santa Monica said it would cost around $3K but was wondering if I could save some $ and go somewhere else.

Any and all help appreciated!

Thanks!

Ahh... more dead injectors. Nissan should see a jump in parts revenue this year!

I know it's a haul, but Jerry Tucker is very well regarded as one of the best on the west coast with the older Q45. http://www.jerrytucker.net/

The injector design is the same on the early 90s 300ZX, so if you want to stay closer to home - look for a Z specialty shop.

Welcome to NICO!

BadQ45t has a Z shop he recommends. Search his posts.

But for over all health and assessment, Jerry Tucker is the best bet.

was really looking for someone in the LA area but if he's that good I might make the trip. Any other suggestions?

I have a good one. Takeda Enterprises, 1610 W. Artesia Blvd, # A18, Gardena, 90247. 310 527 7812. Go get the parts yourself. You'll save a bunch on both parts and labor. He does not have great dyno equipment but once you identify what it is he's the man. Great on maintenance too.

You do not need to drive to San Diego. Z Expert in Marina Del Rey rocks, have done many injector jobs for me on many cars. They know the Q45 well, both editions.

Give Richard a call and tell him Jeff Leeds sent you, you will be well taken care of. He's on Venice Blvd. and his number is 310 396 7200, theu are at:

595 Venice Blvd.Venice, CA

I drive my Z and other cars to LA for him to work on even though I moved away 9 years ago when I can...they do great work, very honest. THey might be a little more than some guy out in Pomona or North Hollywood, but worth it. Way cheaper and better than the dealership of course.

Hey Jeff,

Really appreciate the help. Was mulling a trip down there. But if you know someone up here that's enough for me. Will definitely look him up when I get the chance.

BTW Talked to two other mechanics on the phone, one a z/infiniti guy, described my problem and both said to just drop 2 bottles of fuel injector cleaner in.

Low and behold, seemed to cure my Q's. Gonna bring it in for some other work, though, so as I said, appreciate it!

But neither advised you to also change the fuel filter?
