I have a 94 Q45T and it has been a great car since ive owned it. It started having problems starting. It ended up in the shop, and i replaced the starter relay. Checked the ignition switch and all was good. It started fine for a while then died. I tried starting it randomly, after about 3 weeks it started and i drove it to the shop when it started. I was going to replace the security relay. After the kick panel on passenger side was pulled, and we started trying to figure out what was wrong, all of the electronics inside the car stopped working. The car now turns over but refuses to start and the electronics still do not work.

Master mechanic spent hours checking fuses, wires, ampers, everything. He made a call to a friend at infinity and they said that with the security system going off with a key the car would start and drive. Still unable to do either.

any ideas? body control unit?please help!

Any maintenance history?

Has this "master mechanic" (who obviously is not knowledgeable about the VH45DE) tested the fuel pressure? Changed fuel filter?

So many things neither he nor we know!

BCM has no impact on starting...

Make sure the ECU is coming on, the car will crank but not start if the ECU isnt coming on. Maybe your "master mechanic" fried the ECU when he was tinkering with things...

Also, the security system disables the starter, so if it cranks then theres no issue there.

if the injectors are clicking during cranking, then you're probably looking at fuel issues...
