I have an ignitor from a Q45. When I got the chip, it didn't come with any cut wires or anything, so I'm going to have to make a harness with some female spade connectors. That's not too big of a deal. If the Q45 chip came with wires, then I would have been able to use Q45 pinouts and convert it to my SR. Does anyone know what prongs go to what on the Q45 chip? I have SR20 pinouts so I don't really need any explanation on the harness side.

Sorry I don't have any pics. I'm at work. I'll try to post some later this evening.

Here are the plugs on the Q45 ignitor. If anyone can identify them, then that would help out greatly.

Oh man it sucks that you had to go with a Pre-95 Q45 ignitor chip. Not much people have that ignitor chip...try on FA. I think some guys on there have experience with that kind of ignitor chip. Should have went with 95+ q45 chips and it would have been a plug and play situation.

Interesting. I didn't know there was a difference. I was just told that the CA18DET and Q45 both had the same ignitor (which is what I'm running). Anybody know of someone who does/knows alot having to do with the CA18? Maybe they could help me determine what each plug is.

Yep there's a difference, but try on the CA forum. They may be able to help you or like I said you can always go onto Freshalloy and do a search on there...it's been discussed a lot on there in the past.
