q45 ignitor

okay i picked up a '95 q45 ignitor chip. i saw all the write ups for the late model chips but are the newer ones wired the same way? if not is there a write up somewhere for them? thx

There are 2 types of the coil igniters. The most common ones are the aluminum cased coil igniters with the other side being black. The one that is a direct replacement is the all black one. looks like this with this part number

okay thats the one i just got! it looked like the plugs would be too small. i guess ill go check then. oh do i need to retune?
