Hey guys,

A couple months back I posted here about how to prepare a Q45 for rally duty. Well I eventually got the Q out there after rally-ifying it. See build thread here for details.

Unfortunately the Q's transmission let go on the 2nd day. Looks like the forward clutch packs have all had it, as well as the torque converter. Due to the rarity of the gearbox, I'll be actually dropping the auto out and using a manual from now on.

Anyway here is the vid!

Thats awesome! Thanks for sharing.

If you had to guess what would you say your average speed was?

The track is 2km and the q45 time was 2:01, which makes the average speed 60km/h.
Down the straight I was topping out 2nd gear, whatever speed that is, but even that fast it was still just all wheelspin. I remember flogging it along and doing 120, then easing of accelerator and it drops to 80 instantly - lol.
The Q was so much fun to drive!

Awesome video! Looks like a real hoot. You certainly know how to handle your Q on the dirt! :mike

Sidenote: Kudos to the editor of that video. I liked the music choice and the video editing was perfect.

Yeah it was great fun! The Q was sooo fun to drive on the dirt. It felt like I had a million horsepower. Due to it's size and weight it's also really easy to drift it around, it was a bit slower than the smaller cars obviously.... but made up for it with spectacular drifts :)

I really felt like the cage and the strut braces added a lot of rigidity to the car, and the z32 suspension was nice and hard, keeping it mostly stable through corners.
