Who else thinks that us Q owners deserve the awarded a badge for our loyalty and high mileage cars? Mercedes has a program:

The Mercedes-Benz High Mileage Award program has been developed to recognize and reward brand loyalty and vehicle durability. The High Mileage Award is available free to Mercedes-Benz owners and grille badges are awarded by Mercedes-Benz at the following levels of achievement:

Award Milestones:250,000 kilometers (155,000 miles)500,000 kilometers (312,000 miles)750,000 kilometers (466,000 miles)1,000,000 kilometers (625,000 miles)1,000,000 miles

Here's the application:http://www.mbusa.com/media/dow...n.pdf

This is what they send you:

I believe this is the older version of the same badge

I've been toying with the idea of contacting Honda to see if they're interested in my experience with my 1990 Accord with 387,000 miles on it, all mine.

They might, Honda "bought" my bosses brother in-law a new accord for his with 1,000,000 miles on it. He actually took the value of a new accord towards a new Acura. But he had his dealer maintained.

Cadillac and (I think) Lincoln give out heritage of ownership badges if you've bought a few of their cars.

If we can get 'em in nice, even English Mile increments, I'm all for it!

Volvo does the same too. Some guy in Long Island has a 1800s with 2,474,221 miles on it.

My grandfather was an avid buyer of lincolns thru his life. Every one he had, had a special plaque in the interior, and other strange options.

kinda neat I thought.

*cough, cough* 1,000,000 miles????? Wow. That's over 50,000 per year? For 20 straight years? Whew. And I was feeling all smug 'n stuff.

Interesting that Mercedes rewards the first badge at 155,000 miles. I think I would be pissed if I bought a new Mercedes and it didn't last that long.

Yea, 155k is a little low for an award IMO.

I could see a car going 1,000,000 miles. Some people do drive that much. I remember my aunt's 2 year old VW Jetta having over 150,000 miles. She was an Organ Procurement Supervisor (she'd drive to accidents all around the midwest to oversee organ donor stuff).

If my car was only two years old, I wouldnt even put that award on my grill. I dont want people knowing how many miles my car has

I put 11k miles on my Q in a just over 2 months. Don't drive that much anymore though, but at that rate it could easily become 66k miles a year.

I brought this up a while back, but without pics it died with little conversation. I think its a great idea. The infiniti symbol with some leaves and mileage stuff. We could come up with one here!!!

well if were going by Mercedes standards of wishing we will get to 100k miles ide have one already hhaha... but when the Q hits 100k the journey of long mileage just comes along since the car is so nicely built unlike a Mercedes it will live more than 150k without becoming a hole in the pocket!!! drive and love your Q's because they are everlasting. Cheers!!! Haha

let's see now. i drive appx 7500 miles a year, 121k currently. i won't see 1million that's for sure. I DON'T NEED NO STINKIN BADGE! if you go for this scheme make them small or you might impede air flow.

Heck, I'd take one for my 224K mile warrior! Ok, one would be too big for that '94 grille, but an add on to the trunk lid, either next to, or opposite the "Q45t" lettering would also be a nice touch!
