I have just bought a Q45, and there are some lights out for the AC/heat controls and the window buttons between the seats, could you tell me how to take it apart to fix them? I'm also looking for a CD changer made for the Q45 with install kit. I'm new so I hope I'm doing this right!:help :help

You have to gently pry out the cover & the window swithces will come with it. You'll then see the base of the lights. Get a small flat screwdriver & gently turn them about 1/4 turn to release them.

What lights are out in the A/C controlls?

If you have a 94-2001, your car is pre-wired for the CD Changer. I just bought an OEM one two days ago because I needed the wiring harness for one I had previously purchased. So I have one CD changer available that is brand new, still in the box, and comes with a 12 month warranty. I can tell you where the wire is located and give you a few references on where to get the install kit for around $40 + shipping, as I didn't purchase one - just wanted the wiring harness. Make me a reasonable offer for the brand new, OEM changer and I would love to make a deal. The Nissan part number on mine is B8183-C9961. Clarion part # is PN-2144U. You can check with a dealer to verify compatability with your car in case there are any questions. Dealer cost on these things is anwhere from $350-$500, but I am not expecting anywhere near that much for mine.

I would like to think everyone that has replied to my thread, I contacted Scottsdale Infiniti for the bulbs (part #28529-10Y00) after another dealer told me, the only way to replace the bulbs in window switches, I would have to buy switches for $265 ea., however, Scottsdale the bulbs were only .30ea. and they fit both AC controls and the switches. It took able 2 weeks to get them because they are backordered. Again thanks for everyones in-put. The bulbs are green not blue, not a problem me. They work for the Q, not sure, but they should in I30,J30. Check with Scottdale first, they can tell you.:D

jdmmba - Welcome to NICO!!! Good to have another Valley Q owner. Where in Phx are you?

I could use a new changer too, but it looks like I'm not the first in line...

Either way, e-me off-board and let me know where you're at and how you found us.

Sony made the original OEM 10 disk CD changers for the Q45, from what I have read, but this OEM CD Changer is a 6 disc. It is made exclusively for Nissan and Infiniti by Clarion, who also makes the CD/cassette players in these vehicles. The Clarion model # is CV737, part # is PN-2144U. Nissan part # is B8183-C9961PR. This model is similar to the ones Clarion makes for Ford, VW and other make vehicles as the OEM CD Changer. The following link gives more details on the CD Changer. (Just click on your model, year, interior and then the 6 disc changer for details.)http://infinitihelp.com/Store/...s.htm

Though different model #s are listed on this Infiniti web-site for the QX4, G20 and then the Q45, I30 and J30, I know they are mostly interchangable. If you call your dealer for a quote on a CD changer, which I did today, they will probably offer you the same model that I bought, regardless of what vehicle you have. The main differences are that the QX4 model and G20 are usually under-the-seat models with shorter harnesses, while the others are supposed to be trunk-mounted. I bought the B8183-C9961 from a dealer who told me that my 98 I30 with a 98 Pathfinder head unit and a 98 QX4 CD changer wouldn't be compatible, but they were. The harness is too long since it was designed to go to the trunk, but the harness and CD Changer fit rather nicely under the passenger's seat and I didn't have to wire the harness to the trunk and hassle with mounting it there.

Since I only needed the harness, I have an OEM brand-new CD changer to offer someone with a pre-wired Q45 or access to an extra harness.

I think the original OEM Sony is obsolete since the XA 10-B carriers are no longer manufactured. Unfortunately, I don't have the model numbers.

According to the the auctions I haven seen on E-bay, they fit the 94-2001 Q45. If you check the following link, they show the same part number for the Q45 from 94-96 and 97-2001. (They are selling Alpines for the Q45.)http://infinitihelp.com/Store/...r.htm

The original Sony connection should work the same with the Clarion I have, as well as the Alpine that is listed in the web-site I just referenced. In fact, I have an Alpine from a QX4. The harness worked the same with the Alpine I am keeping as with the Clarion I bought and want to sell. The harness in the trunk should look like the following diagram:XXX XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Check with your dealer to make sure though if you have any doubt. Try Infiniti Scottsdale: 1 888 216-5328. I just called but got no answer.http://www.infinitipartsusa.co...=2276

This is a picture of the end that connects to the head unit. The side of the harness that connects to the CD changer has one more PIN on each side at the top and two more on the bottom, though they aren't all used.

just found out, it won't hook up to the existing connection on the 94-96 Q45. The model I have is compatible, but you would need a new harness and have to wire it from the head unit to the trunk or under the passenger's seat.
